Overview

The GLKVM macOS Companion app is a lightweight utility that provides a macOS-friendly interface to GL.iNET Web KVMs. We designed it to minimize data collection and operate locally on your Mac.

Information We Collect

• In the app: The app stores your KVM URL and optional admin password locally. The password is stored in the macOS Keychain. No analytics or telemetry are collected by the app.
• Microphone permissions: If the KVM page requests audio, the app will prompt for microphone access. Audio is used only for the WebRTC session and not recorded by the app.
• On the website: If you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Information

• App settings: Used to connect to your specified KVM and persist preferences locally.
• Contact form: Used to reply to your questions and provide support.

Data Storage

• Local storage: KVM URL and preferences are stored locally on your device. The optional admin password is stored securely in the macOS Keychain.
• Email: Contact form messages are sent via email to our support inbox. If email is unavailable, a CSV log may be stored on the web server until delivery is restored.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties. Information is used solely to operate the app and respond to support requests.

GL.iNET Web KVM

Your GL.iNET KVM has its own privacy and security model. Traffic between your Mac and the KVM follows your network configuration. Please review your KVM’s documentation for its specific data practices.

Your Rights

• Access, update, or delete your app settings on your device.
• Request deletion of support emails by contacting us at [email protected].
